Sean drove south about five hours to Hollywood from Carmel, California with a dream in the year 2000. Decades of mics, too many independent video jobs and countless albums of toilet songs later, his dreams are the only real things he has.

Thank you for reading about him. It means a lot to me as his friend. Do you think he's handsome? He thinks you are. He told me to tell you. Would you make out with him? Asking for a friend.
From humble beginnings as a bisexual art kid who drank more coffee than a 40-year-old author, Remy was born in a commune in the wilderness outside of Los Angeles County managed by a team of masseuses. They quickly became well versed in the art of giving great back massages, but always had dreams of something greater.

Though bittersweet, Remy left the commune to pursue a film production degree and then wasted their BFA on telling gay jokes on various stages across LA, and has remained a bisexual art kid who drinks more coffee than a 40-year-old author. They could not be prouder to be part of the Big Blue Ball and neither can the commune who encouraged them to follow their dreams.

Aaron's work has been been featured on both sides of the Atlantic—on stage, screen, radio and in print—including the McSweeneys anthology Created in Darkness by Troubled Americans. In his fake life, he is a creative director at a small ad agency.

After 30 years in New York, Aaron now resides in Northampton, Massachusetts, where he can be maximally woke and nobody gives a shit. He still visits his soul in NYC once a month and will continue to do so as long as the courts allow.
Casey McNeal (“Addicted to Disorders”) is a Boston comic and humorist who regularly appears in Clubs throughout New England and New York. He has opened for legends like Sam Kinison, Margaret Cho, Kevin Nealon, and Judy Tenuta, among others. He was a Finalist in the “NBC Tonight Show Comedy Challenge,” and has appeared in the “Boston Comedy Festival,” the “Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival,” and the “NY Underground Comedy Festival.”

Adam is a member of Stone Grown Comedy. When he's. not doing shows with Stone Grown, he's hosting the open mic at The Radio Room. on Wednesdays at. 8pm, doing Muay Thai, and collecting vinyl records.

A defender of cats, Adam has fantastic stories, from being accused of stealing his own car, to not being able to acquire a PS5, to potentially fighting a ton of kangaroos. He has an "everyday man" style in his stories. He'll tell you the things we all think and experience.

If he hadn't ruined his knees from years of concert moshing, he could be on American Ninja Warrior. His knees may or may not be held together by painter's tape, pipe cleaners and hope.

Joli created and designs the World Comedy Web.
Keith Graber is a writer, comedian, chef, artist, producer, host and performer, extraordinaire. Self-described as a comedy Swiss Army knife (or maybe an everything bagel), Keith loves every bit of the industry. From standup to sketch to improv to roast battling, comedy is in his blood (and detectable on his breath). Keith produces several comedy shows in the Los Angeles area.

During the pandemic, Keith was the co-founder and co-producer of LIAR Comedy, a standup comedy production team, and network of comedians. LIAR Comedy was a home for comedians to perform virtually together while live comedy was temporarily banished. They produced hundreds of open mics and shows including standup comedy showcases and niche productions like: Locked In A Dungeon, the live comedian role-playing adventure. Roasted In A Room, the LIAR Comedy roast of several comedians, and even the roast of 2020 itself! LIAR Comedy Game Night, where comedians compete in various JackBox games live on Twitch. The ShitShow with Keith Graber, a comedy panel show free-for-all with multiple rounds of discussions, joke slinging, improv scenes and the beloved photo roasts! Plus, Pants On Fire, a collaborated spin-off show streaming international comedians live on Twitch.

Also during the pandemic Keith developed the (acquired) taste for podcasting and launched his own comedian interview show, Everybody’s A Comedian. And he was a founding member of Sick Folks Of Cinema, a horror movie review podcast with comedians reviewing their most loved, and hated horror movies. Keith also worked as the co-host of Isolated/Liberated Confusion, a comedy podcast and word salad shooter that can be best described as psychedelic improv.

“But can I get him on a t-shirt?” Why, yes, actually. Keith is also the creator of Yesterday’s Sushi, a comedy inspired line of merch designs ready for immediate consumption (plus shipping). Imagine a Spencer’s without all of the class… or a Not-So-Hot Topic. From inappropriate bathmats to t-shirts that should have their sleeves cut off, it’s a one-stop-shop for your bad taste needs. Yesterday’s Sushi… Nearly Fresh, Always Raw!

He also dabbles in sketch comedy. After writing and developing a veritable superabundance of concepts and scripts with the sketch team, Poor Man Toe, Keith started producing some of his own sketch comedy, includng Haircut-In-A-Box, and Diet Oatmeal, the drink that bros love! He is forever writing and conceptualizing new projects and ideas, and loves to collaborate. And before you ask, yes, he would love to be in your sketch.

Keith can be currently found wandering the streets of Los Angeles, producing several themed shows, which are all some form of natural, step or adopted brainchildren of his. There’s Fudge Factor, the improvised standup comedy game show, where comedians are forced to riff on the topics provided by the audience for prizes. He also produces Ethnically Ambiguous, the show where 11 comedians with various combinations of races and ethnicities attempt to answer the question, “So what ARE you, anyway?” And of course, there’s Repeat Offenders, the show that nobody asked for where comedians get down and dirty so you don’t have to.

Did we also mention he’s a roast battler?! Keith considers roasting to be his love language (condolences to his wife). Roasting is in his DNA. And he loves spewing that DNA on Roast Battle stages all over L.A., including The Comedy Store, The HaHa Comedy Club, and various incidents at supermarkets and street corners.

But wait there’s more! He’s not just an entrepreneur, he’s also a DJ (overheard in L.A. anyone?). Finding himself longing for the glory days of music from the 1900s, in a simpler time before auto-tuning and face tattoos, Keith developed the persona of DJ-Dial-Up as a way to reconnect with the music of the semi-recent past. Rock, old-school, funk, disco, new wave, freestyle… it’s all gold. And DJ-Dial-Up can be found spinning these retro gems at parties, live events, and comedy shows all over Los Angeles.

The point is that Keith Graber is all over the L.A. comedy scene, embracing the craft, and thoroughly enjoying the lifestyle. Go to any comedy club in the city, throw a rock, and you’ll hit him. You might hit two of him.

Valerie Paschall is a comic and writer based out of Washington, DC but has reveled in the opportunity to perform in every geographic corner of the Internet. That said, she misses physically being in Baltimore on one of her favorite stages.

Val came to comedy initially because she thought it would be less intimidating than trying to learn a musical instrument. She had been reviewing concerts, Fringe Festival performances, documentary films and albums for the likes of Paste Magazine, DCist and Washington City Paper and realized she needed her own creative outlet over and above analyzing the creativity of others. The adrenaline rush and camaraderie were intoxicating and proved a good replacement for spending time with a male friend who did not return her more than friendly feelings, so Val decided to keep performing. That was in August 2009. She hasn’t stopped.

Valerie has since performed in a number of comedy festivals including Charm City Comedy Festival, Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, What a Joke! (Baltimore), Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival, Bechdel Test Fest, She Devil Comedy Festival and most recently, the Burbank Comedy Festival. Her short film, created during the festival’s 48 Hour Film Festival challenge was included in the Burbank Comedy Festival’s Best of the Fest. She has performed at such spots as the DC Improv, Flapper’s, Broadway Comedy Club and the Black Cat. She also got a chance to open for the Wham City Comedy Tour.

Inspired by (now defunct) feminist collective Permanent Wave, Val started booking comedy shows in 2011. Much like the members in the New York branch, she wanted to both highlight the talents of female-identifying and non-binary performers and benefit women’s organizations in the D.C. area. She also learned from the failures that led to the dissolution of Permanent Wave and made her shows intentionally intersectional. After the success of her women’s showcase, Comedy on the Table, she started booking a larger variety of shows in more locations around the D.C. area. These included Pride weekend shows, novelty shows (including one that combined comedy with drone music) and grander showcases but all of them highlighted D.C. and Baltimore comedians with a heavy focus on women and BIPOC performers. In 2015 she started using the name Lousy Humans as the branding for all of her shows. The name came from misremembering something said by Bender from Futurama. By the time the pandemic shut down live comedy this included a weekly open mic (Lively City Open Mic), a monthly showcase (Lousy Humans) and a quarterly novelty show (Drone Comedy).

Val is grateful to Joli and Rampantly for giving her the opportunity to help co-host the Chalk Talk teacher’s mic. She taught at a daycare and preschool for five years and knows that the profession brings a wealth of material. That said, her most recent jobs have been bartending, dog walking and pet sitting.
Roy Wood Jr., born in Alabama, attended Florida A&M University. Wood gained recognition for his stand-up, work on "The Daily Show," and hosting "This Is Not Happening."
Kenny DeForest was informally named the World Comedy Web's funniest comedian of 2023 before suffering a fatal e-bike accident in December 2023.
YOU'VE NEVER MET A COMIC QUITE LIKE MARTIN MALLOY.

He is part Steven Wright, part Mitch Hedberg and part brain injury. Just about everything about him is a contradiction. His delivery is deadpan yet almost fast-paced. He speaks with a flat affect and his material is smart, dark and twisted. His act is self-deprecating but not mean spirited. His rapid-fire delivery of one-liners keeps his show at a breakneck pace yet it’s never hard to keep up. His subject matter bounces seamlessly from silly to serious and back again. He talks about his mental disorder and suicidal thoughts in the same breath as he talks about murdering cats and hating children. Yet somehow, he still comes off as likeable.

The first time Martin performed stand up was at his high school graduation. As the class president he gave a commencement speech filled with jokes about his family life and one-liners that had the crowd roaring with laughter. He might have started a career in comedy back then, but as is so often the case, life took a few twists and turns first.

In 1990 Martin was the victim of a hit and run accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. He still has the scars to prove it. He has since been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder which, if not a direct result of his injuries, was definitely exacerbated by them. He went to law school. He has a Masters of Public Administration. He was banned from Morgan Stanley for insider trading (though it was actually the voices in his head that gave him the winning stock picks). He won $50,000 in the lottery and blew it all on lottery tickets. He drives a buick century because he buys American and currently works at McDonalds. He is also bi-polar.

Martin's comedy career is filled with many highlights. In 2005 he won Rookie of the Year at the Cleveland Comedy Awards. He was a two time finalist in the Carnival Cruise Comedy Challenge. He was a finalist at the Cleveland Comedy Festival and won Best Short joke of the Year at the 2019 Cleveland Comedy Awards. Additionally he has appeared at The Accidental Comedy Festival and Snubfest. He appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in a straight jacket and was on The Opie and Anthony show twice (as Schitzo Bill). He was even asked to appear on The Howard Stern Show.

In a different world, Martin Malloy would be famous. And maybe one day he will be. But for now, he can settle for the local legend status he currently possesses. He has made a name for himself on the Cleveland comedy scene and his fans have taken notice. Whether it’s at a top club or a local open mic, he is bound to leave the stage as someone’s new favorite comic. Has he had a crazy life? Sure. This man is anything but ordinary. In a different life, maybe he would be a lawyer. Or a businessman of some sort. Maybe he would be married with kids and a two car garage. Instead, he is one of the best joke writers around. Life could be a lot worse. You can support Martins Comedy by sending some cash to Paypal Martymalloy18@gmail.com and Venmo @Veryfunnycomedy. Your donations will allow me to buy a newer Ford Focus to get to further places to do comedy, pay for my Masters of Social Work degree at Cleveland State University (2nd masters degree) and hopefully help me buy a house in Cleveland, Ohio. Thank you for your support.

They call him the Bitter Buddha, comedian Eddie Pepitone is a master of the dark art of comedy. Hailed as a modern day cross between Jackie Gleason, Don Rickles and Eckart Tolle. Eddie is a force of nature on stage, switching between social rage and self-doubt. His shows are an energetic combo of calm and chaos, blue-collar angst and sardonic enlightenment. Few comedians working today channel the power of the rant better than Eddie Pepitone. His most recent stand-up special For the Masses was released in June 2020, which the New York Times listed as one of the best stand-up specials of 2020. Ken is a funny dude. He loves watching Hulu, and his sweet little pizza boy at home... just call him Papa John.

When he's not slinging drinks behind the bar, he's slinging jokes on the stage. He tells jokes about everything from his grandpa at cookouts to his experiences at fast food drive thrus. He's always. got something new, and it's always funny.

Ken i s a good dude. One of the most supportive and kind people in the comedy scene. The scene needs more people like Ken in it.

Ken always gives 100%, no matter. what number he is in the lineup. He can take a tired crowd and pump them up.

Ken never disappoints. You're guaranteed a fun time if you catch him on stage.

You can also catch Ken hosting a monthly show, "Paint Me Naked" at the Inchoate Art Gallery in Greenville, SC. It is always a great show. Any show by Good Wood Presents is gonna be off the charts.

Catch Ken if you get a chance. He's got a gift of making people laugh, and he'll share it... no question.

They say, “When life hands you lemons make lemonade” Chip Nicholson was raised in San Diego California and at the age of 12 moved to Birmingham, Alabama. Quickly learning to love lemonade Nicholson used humor to bridge the gaps. Nicholson says he learned a lot “Growing up laughing with my mom at shows like Mad TV, SNL, In Living Color, All That, Def Comedy Jam, Martin, Fresh Prince of Bell Air, the Jamie Fox Show…. I’d watch these shows and knew I wanted to have that kind of something with those kinds of people… I just didn’t know how to get my foot in that door.” Until Nicholson found himself at his first open mic.. the moment after the last word, the last “Joke”, and the applause blurred into the bright lights and he says “I couldn’t stop smiling. Chills. and that’s when I knew. That door I had searched for my foot to get into, I had tripped through and fallen in love with Stand Up Comedy”.

In the coming year Nicholson hopped from mic to mic doing 4-6 open mics a night. When there wasn’t a mic, Karaoke’s. Soon eyes turned to LA after graduation he moved up.

Chip was living the life - out of the car, the first couple months in LA.. It was a rough Black History Month. Nicholson says “Comedy isn’t as convenient as it is charming, but that’s what’s fun about journeys.” Chip Nicholson has lived a life of paradox that would be crazy not to laugh along with. Now in Los Angeles, Chip Headlines his happy go lucky style from Calgary Canada to Nashville Tennessee. Recently winning 2019’s top Finalist of the San Diego Comedy Festival, 2019’s Best of Fest Winner of Arizona’s Big Pine Comedy Festival and accepted into the 2020 Boston Comedy Festival Chip is working hard, to share some lemonade!

Valarie Apperson is a half alien or half robot humanoid from El Paso, TX. She grew up preaching as a Jehovah's Witness until the evil hand of science got her all worked up to switch from a music career - which included songs on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, MLB, Maxim.com, the CFDA Awards and more - to an interdisciplinary biotech program in Houston in 2013.

To support herself and some dude she was too fond of, Valarie created mass amounts of viral galleries for MyLikes Inc., a social media advertising platform started by founders of Google Adwords.

The freedom to work remotely led her to think it was a good idea to pawn all her instruments and move to South Dakota with yet another asshole. To endure the endless boredom of being mostly alone in a small, boring town with no instruments, she took up standup comedy and has since won 3 roast battles (the first being against the host who harrassed her after her first open mic...suck it Greg!), performed for over 3 years in DC and Baltimore, and produced the Risk Takers Comedy Show - an outdoor pop-up show in DC, and HaHa Black Sheep - a virtual open mic centered on topics of religion and revolution.

She currently lives in New York City while advancing her career as a copywriter for Top 10 global corporations and world leading cyberTech companies. She's passionate about changing all of her targeted ads to men's suits. And she has an idea for starting her own Amazon. You can catch her slaying "best bad idea" at the CISO Series game show, getting kicked off LinkedIn every year for being herself, and performing comedy in New York and the surrounding areas.

When Rich Chassler began his comedy career, people didn’t have cell phones, beepers were for doctors and “dealers” and Ronald Reagan was still president! No newcomer to the world of Stand-Up Comedy, Rich brings many years of road touring experience to his hilarious show which has been described as a cross between a rollercoaster and a Grateful Dead concert, never giving you the same show twice.

As a young comic Rich had the good fortune to open for and learn from many of the bigger acts at the time including Rita Rudner and George Wallace. He even toured regularly with Marc Price, who, at the time, made his fame playing “Skippy” on the NBC hit show Family Ties. At one time, Rich was also one of the youngest headliners in the country!

Rich has toured extensively, performing in 49 out of 50 states in addition to playing abroad. He has also appeared on MTV, VH1 and Comedy Central in addition to various television and film roles acting roles. He has worked with Richard Pryor, Rita Rudner, Sam Kinison, Bobcat Goldthwait and Jeff Ross to name a few and spent four years touring with one of his closest friends and cult comedy legend, the late Mitch Hedberg.

Rich’s show is a “quirky” mix of true-life experiences, a healthy dose of observational humor and a lot of improvisation. Being a trained improviser and super quick wit, you never know what direction Rich’s show is going to take as he loves to play with the crowd and keep the audience not just laughing but also thinking just a little bit.

Rich is also an accomplished voice over actor and has done many different voices for cartoons and commercials. His voice has been heard in many commercials for products such as Kia, Nextel, St, Pauley Girl Beer, Blue Bunny Ice cream, and most recently BMW. He is the author of a book and recently worked as writer/producer on the General Electric Sponsored web-series, “Funny By Nature”.

Rich’s show is a lot of fun and surely not one you’ll soon forget. This is one show you do not want to miss!

Danny arrived to the Bay Area from Argentina when he was only 6 years old. (My grandfather moved to Argentina because he heard America is a land of opportunity. Unfortunately, he had the wrong America.) The experience of growing up in San Francisco has warped him forever – he’s been an enthusiastic element of San Francisco’s weird and wonderful entertainment scene, including performing for the celebrated Annual San Francisco Comedy Day in 2011.

His Blinky the Rock God character showed up at open mics, the comedy stages and underground theater (Popcorn Anti-Theater), and soon Danny was performing (as Blinky, himself & Howard Stone’s Show One Man Orchestra) all over the Bay area several times per week, including such classic comedy clubs as Punchline, Purple Onion, Rooster T. Feathers, Throckmorton Theatre, and the up-and-coming-ones, such as the San Francisco Tommy T’s club and The Comedy Station.

Danny's one-man comedy play premiered in late August 2009 at the Comedy Station in San Francisco. He can perform any tunes, from rock-n-roll to classical pieces, by drumming a #2 pencil on his cheek, and is considering recording his first musical CD.

Currently, Danny Dechi performs his stand-up and musical act throughout the Bay Area and hosts several Comedy Showcase and Open Mike rooms, as well as a comedy Talk Show, Radio Ha-Ha at FCC-Free Radio. Danny acted in several theater plays with the San Francisco Free Civic Theatre (theater group), and has appeared in TV commercials (the latest one for the San Francisco Giants.) Kerry Day was born in Louisville, KY in the early 50s, Kerry’s family moved to Montreal, Canada, and then Duncan, OK, in time for Kerry to begin his education at the Sacred Heart School. This school provided very individual attention from Kindergarten until graduation from the 8th grade. Sacred Heart was so small each classroom accommodated two grade levels instead of one. He graduated from Sacred Heart with a class of seven other students. For the 9th grade, Kerry moved on to a much larger population at Duncan Junior High School. While still adjusting to the crowds, the Day family again pulled up stakes and moved to Tulsa, OK which, at the time, was know as the oil capital of the world.

Kerry returned to a parochial Catholic education by enrolling in Bishop Kelley High School. Upon successful completion of Bishop Kelley High School, Kerry moved on to Oklahoma State University where he majored in the lucrative Political Science degree program as well as completing the Air Force ROTC program and a commission as an Air Force 2nd Lt.

Upon reporting for his first active-duty assignment at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, on his 22nd birthday, the most significant event of his life occurred. After completing his processing that first day he was introduced to the officer in charge of that unit, 1st Lt Ed Machon. For Kerry, it was love at first sight – Ed took a little longer. Apparently, the USAF saw the inevitability of the match before either of the young lieutenants did which began a journey across three continents. Ed got reassigned and the two men said good bye not expecting to see each other again.

Ed was reassigned to Thailand where, shortly before he left, he found out Kerry was to be his replacement. They exchanged correspondence about the assignment but Kerry arrived the day after Ed’s departure to parts unknown. Both being personnel officers, Kerry was assigned Ed’s job, his quarters and all additional duties. When Kerry was being reassigned, his first choice to stay in Asia was denied because there were no positions available. His second choice to stay overseas was approved but there was only one available assignment available in rural Germany. Kerry soon got a letter from Ed again explaining that’s where he had gone and was again offering to make Kerry’s transition easier.

Upon arrival, the two men quickly cemented a strong friendship and within six months on the 17th of July, 1976, they began their long adventure together which continues today. After Germany the two moved to England where Kerry received a MA in Guidance and Counseling from Vanderbilt University in preparation for leaving the military. After six years overseas, Kerry moved to Dallas to prepare the way for Ed to be reassigned.

Jump starting a civilian career, Kerry pursued jobs as a professional counselor. Within a short period of time, it became clear that the positions were not highly valued by their employers. Thus, a sales and marketing career was born. For the significantly higher pay, the same skills applied. Except for a short period working on a special project in Rhode Island, Dallas became home. In his marketing career he spent much of his time traveling and making presentations to insurance companies, unions, large employers and third-party administrators.

After 29 years living in a committed relationship, Ed and Kerry married in Provincetown, MA, on July 16, 2005. Although marriage provided additional security to the couple, it had no impact on the relationship which was unchanged by the updated legal status.

Retiring early, Kerry soon discovered life as a retiree was a little too peaceful and went he decided to pursue work opportunities that seemed like they might be fun. He started a company that provided contracting services for home remodeling. When the real estate market started a significant downturn, Kerry cycled through a series of retail job because, although the pay was low, the interactions with customers and other employees gave him the opportunity and ideas to work on writing and comedy.

Kerry came to comedy late in life. Although he had always been the office jokester, he began developing a comedic voice while working in a retail environment entertaining customers and employees alike. He experimented with word patterns and different presentation styles. Finally he walked away from the working world for a last time and took his first Stand Up Comedy class in early 2018.

Ed and Kerry have one son that is one of their greatest sources of pride and happiness. Through their son they have two grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ed has a brother in Rhode Island who lives with his wife of many years. Kerry has two sisters, one in Oklahoma City, OK and one in Addison, TX. Kerry is the only one of the three with a husband.

Lyre is a polymath giraffe and phenomenal revivalist who was spaghettified by a black hole at the event horizon of Cool.

Lyre believes the human voice is the one free tool we all have, yet few adequately use. She hopes to do what she can to give comedians an easier go at saving the world together.

If you know any very rich and altruistic humanitarian philanthropists, please send them her way. Thanks.

Lyre is passionate about expanding public access to free speech through comedy everywhere. You can reach out to her via her Contact page.

Here's her biography.

Lyre began her career nearly decades ago as a teacher in the city of Philadelphia. In 2018, after dreaming of becoming a comedy writer for years and years, Lyre opted to take up digital nomadism so she could perform around the country. From there, she tried her best to apply the creative principles she'd been teaching children to instead build some kind of whopper that could benefit everyone. She soon innovated her way into applied theories of collective representation and participatory engagement at the forefront of 21st century new media entertainment, and here we are. (This is just the beginning.)

How did she get here? The following is a majorly abridged version of her life story. Stay tuned for the cinematic masterpiece.

Lyre was born a double Aquarian coonass on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Her parents were two sporty hotties from Ohio who had been meddling together since middle school. By the time she was five weeks old, Lyre was riding with the Krewe of Sparta at Mardi Gras! Some would say she peaked here... They'd be right! A proper Drew Barrymore meets E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, stuffed senseless on Twinkie cream. It's where she gets her big forehead.

Our young grasshopper enjoyed a childhood pogo-sticking around the master-planned oil suburbs of The Woodlands, Texas, playing pogs with her own shadow, and inviting her crushes to eat bark sandwiches in the woods. She also remembers having two brothers in there at some point.

In 1995, Lyre's family defected from the globalist petrochemical stranglehold and burrowed down in Amish-adjacent Chocolatetown, USA. Here, whilst dressed as Ghoulardi, Joli lip-synched Bird is the Word by the Butthole Surfers in front of the whole 3rd grade. Meanwhile, her first and future husband was 23 and working in a timber mill. Ain't it quaint?

As a girl, Lyre enjoyed watching the Simpsons while gazing out her own bedroom window at the smokestacks of the nearby Three Mile Island nuclear facility. After cross-dressing her haunted Howdy Doody puppet as an Aunt Jemima doll, Lyre wore its clothes herself in her 5th grade breakout role as the smallest tap-dancing country singer, lip-synched Patsy Cline's "Crazy," She was nothing if not hellbent in her performative whimsicality.

Lyre began producing comedy in middle school. First, it was spoof commercials on her camcorder, followed by, among other things, a sock puppet interview with George Washington Carver. Later, in high school, Lyre was voted Young Woman of the Year by her town, yet somehow never learned to take care of her car. That's life before YouTube, kids!

After heading to to art school in the City of Brotherly Love, Lyre began spending summers teaching aesthetics, public art and museum studies in New Haven. She also enjoyed enrolling in and promptly disavowing the archaic pedantry of various teacher training programs as she fashioned her own fringe pedagogies into enrichment curricula for children of all ages.

A handful of years later, in 2011, after scoring 12 points against the Harlem Wizards, Lyre wrote her first sitcom while driving jet bridges in an overnight blizzard at the Philadelphia International Airport. It wasn't long before she hit the stand-up stage on South Street as the only woman on the list at the now defunct Lickety Split.

In 2014, Lyre promptly tabled her stand-up to be wed, but she soon took up improv and sketch-writing at the Philly Improv Theater and ComedySportz and later studied red nose clown and devised theater at the Pig Iron School under Emmanuelle Delpech. Lyre went on to enjoy a career as an art museum educator; an instructor and advisor of curricula in public arts, aesthetics, and theater; an elementary, middle, and high school art teacher; and a director of interdisciplinary arts- and theater-integrated camps and enrichment programs for Philadelphia school children.

In 2018, Lyre became a full-fledged digital nomad, moving first to Austin, Texas, where she started her first company and resumed her study of stand-up comedy. The next few years, she traversed the country to all corners in every which way, including taking nearly every Amtrak line coast to coast, driving from Austin to Fairbanks, and living in Austin, Eugene, Los Angeles, California, and Oberlin, Ohio, where she produced more than 600 underground comedy shows from 2020-2022. Lyre is now back in Philly, where you can find her voice acting, storytelling, and producing comedy with the World Comedy Foundation, the Rampantly comedy network, and Laugh Social.

Lyre would like to thank her friends and mentors who fostered her creative and qualitatively philanthropic ambitions, and her parents Jon and Lindi for their contributions to the greater good.

laughter to the people.

Carol Montgomery’s has amassed over 30 national/cable TV appearances, she has appeared in two large scale production shows in Las Vegas, she actively teaches stand-up comedy and she is the director of “Fine, Funny and Female." Most recently Carole is the creator of Showtimes “Funny women of a certain age” AND “MORE Funny Women of a certain Age.”
For Baltimore-by-way-of-Philly-by-way-of-Brooklyn comedian Darryl Charles, making people laugh came naturally. “I would imitate family members at parties. I was voted class clown in high school. So, I guess I've been a goofy person my whole life.” Growing up in a large Caribbean family in 1990s Brownsville, there was always a packed house to serve as both audience and an oasis from one of the roughest neighborhoods in New York. “You just kind of stuck to the enclave back then. So it was just family for the most part,” he recalls. “Life in Brownsville in the ‘90s was rough. I'd been robbed at gunpoint and everything. But you still had fun. We still did stupid kid things. We still played ball. We still ran around and set trash cans on fire. We were lovely idiots.”

He didn’t start to think about comedy seriously until friends started to essentially book him for spots in college. “My college roommate was pimping me out to tell stories at parties,” says Charles. “You meet somebody you like, and y'all decide to make each other's company for this party. And he kept interrupting like ‘Darryl’s super funny! Tell the story!’ And that’s when I realized he just brought me here to entertain these people.”

Those informal performances at parties lead to more and more people encouraging Darryl to pursue comedy seriously, but it wasn’t yet on his radar. “They’d throw a bunch of parties and I would just find myself telling the same stories. Even then, I was like, ‘Yeah, I need money. I came to college to get a paycheck.’” Still, around the same time he’d started journaling--writing down observations and thoughts that, while not in the format of premises and punchlines, would start his love of the writing process.

Even though he wasn’t ready to take the stage, Darryl’s love of comedy was always there. “The first joke I remember was Bill Cosby’s ‘Noah’s Ark’ joke. We had the Best of Bill Cosby tape and I let that tape rock constantly. Salt N’ Pepa was the first rap album I owned, but I think I played Bill Cosby more.” Besides comedians whose personal lives do not reflect his own in any way, Darryl followed other greats as well “The first special I ever saw was [Eddie Murphy’s] Delirious cause we was in the hood and the only cable channel we had was HBO for the whole building,” he recalls. In addition to Cosby and Murphy, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, Paula Poundstone, Eddie Griffin, and Katt Williams were big influences.

After graduating from college and fulfilling the child of a Caribbean immigrant’s requirement of becoming an electrical engineer, his journal started to fill with more stories and actual jokes. “When I decided I wanted to do comedy, it took me a year to actually get on stage. And in that year I tried to write down a lot of the stories that I would tell at parties,” he remembers. Finally, against all logic, Charles left stable pay and benefits to tell jokes for a living.

Inspired by both the pain and hilarity of real life, Darryl’s jokes range from ripped from the headlines to ripped from comic books. “I remember the first time that I saw something on the news that hurt my feelings enough to try to make a joke out of it. That’s the hatchet joke that's on my first album, Black Gentrifier,” says Charles. “That also was the first time that I had written a bit, showed up at a place, and then tried it out and it crushed. I took a brand new idea onto stage and when I was done, the entire room was like, thank you for doing that.”

Now as a veteran comedian, Darryl has toured across the country and opened for a variety of amazing comics and legends like Adam Ferrara, Greg Fitzsimmons, Dave Attell, and the late greats Patrice O'Neal and Dick Gregory. He’s also an experienced improviser, and has been a member of ComedySportz Philadelphia since 2011, where he teaches and coaches. He is a sketch comedy writer and performer, doing most of that work with the sketch group The Layoff Kids, who have been featured on Funny or Die. He's been seen on The Travel Channel, ComedyCentral.com, and commercials for Houwser and Tushy. He's also the co-host of DTF: The Darryl and Timaree Funhour, the best sex-ed/comedy/gameshow in the known universe.

In addition to more of the above, Darryl’s is in the early stages of crafting a second album, rounding out more sketches and scripts, keeping his hands clean, and making sure people don’t breathe on him.
A master of timing, Korey Strike started performing stand-up comedy days before the entire world shut down for an 'unprecedented virus of disastrous proportions'. Not to be deterred by initial bad reviews, he has continued his quest to make people think, drink, and laugh throughout the seedy underbelly that is virtual comedy.

Although he can't be with you physically (unless?...) he will always be with you spiritually, as exorcisms and banishings have been found to be ineffective against German Jews. Follow him in life on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube, that we might be spared his ramblings in death.

Ray Powers is a comedian, musician, layabout and bon-vivant from Brantford, Ontario, the town that taste forgot. After studying English & Philosophy at the universities of Toronto and Guelph, everything he learned immediately spilled out of his deaf ear. So he began writing sketches and news items for the NakedNewsTV cable show, while also working on development for documentary film projects about LGBTQ+ refugees and immigrant survivors of domestic violence. (The Naughts were strange times.)

Continuing in the spirit of launching himself headfirst into fields he knows nothing about, Ray started performing standup comedy in the later part of the 2000s thanks to the generous spirit of Toronto comedy doyenne and open-mic host Jo-Anna Downey (RIP), and learned firsthand the pain of watching a joke wither and die in front of an audience.

Daunted but not encouraged, Ray took a ten-year detour that saw the release of several albums of music, the writing and publishing of a pseudonymous novel (Who Iced The Snowman? -Cozy Cat Press 2016), and the (re)production and raising of three children.

Ray returned to live standup in 2018 thanks to Brent Barkley's LoneCat Comedy open mics in Richmond Hill, just in time for a pandemic to put a stop to his nonsense. He crab-walked over to online shows through Gerry Hodges’ "No Line To Cross", which led him to Rampantly where he would sneak in through the back door instead of getting on the list like a goddamn regular person. With the plague subsiding, he has performed the Social Capital Theatre and Comedy Bar in Toronto, where he continues to thrill audiences every time he leaves the stage.

Currently of no fixed address, Ray has an expiring passport and little left to lose. An unarmed Canadian, he is not considered a threat (triple or otherwise) at this writing.
Clyde Allen Williams Jr., a Shreveport native, is the youngest of three children. A graduate of Huntington High school, he went on to Stephen F. Austin State University where received his bachelor's with graduate studies in film and writing.

After a victorious battle with cancer, Clyde started a page where people could share their cancer stories called People With Cancer S.U.C.K (Suvive Under Conditions that Kill). Contrary to popular belief, he is still alive and involved in various plays and films.

Coming from a family of educators, Clyde was expected to become a teacher. He decided if he was going to be talking to a room full of drunk people who were laughing at him anyway, he'd rather do it on a stage than in a classroom.

Nearly six years ago, Clyde began using his natural affinity for comedy as a stand up comedian. Through years of trial and error, Clyde decided that the easiest way to learn something, is the hard way.

As a writer, Clyde has tried to bring his comedy to life through sketches, some of which can be found on his Instagram channel @therealclydewilliams, where he feels the most comfortable being as fake as he can.

Clyde has always been a fan of the cinema. As an actor, he has played roles in numerous short films around the southern region of the United States, and had starring and supporting roles in several features. As a writer and director, his passion for film and the wonderment it can bring is as strong as ever.

Clyde hosts the World Comedy Foundation's Green Mic on the Rampantly Comedy Network, Monday nights at 9pm EST, 6pm PST. The Green Mic is a virtual new material stand-up comedy show that welcomes comedians worldwide. Find the link on his homepage to go there.

Joel Marshall is currently known for his live streaming program Joel Marshall’s Lunch Therapy. It began at the start of the COVID lockdown and has been running ever since. A stand-up comic and actor in Hollywood, Joel was struck by the idea that he wouldn’t have venues in which to perform, so immediately he took to YouTube. At first he was just doing daily stand-up comedy but it grew into a live streaming variety show that takes place every Tuesday and Friday at noon Pacific. There is always a very live chat room and many witty regulars and a cast of fun characters. The show is a constantly evolving hour of fun sketches, commercials, animals, science, and all the best actors, directors, activists, artist and comedians joining in for live interviews and performances. Now there is a library of over 360 shows currently available on the Joel Marshall’s Lunch Therapy YouTube Channel. All are aimed at helping you take a “break from the crap” that is going on in the world.

Joel began his career at the famed Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and went on to play Romeo at Shakespeare and Company in Massachusetts. He produced a podcast, called FatFreeFilm the Indie Film Podcast (https://FatFreeFilm.com), in the early days of podcasting, before people even knew what a podcast was. He interviewed such greats as Leonard Nimoy, Peter Bogdanovich and Patricia Arquette. He went on to produce the award-winning film Equal Means Equal (https://equalmeansequal.com), which was also directed by his wife actress Kamala Lopez. This film has done great things to inform people that women are not represented in the US Constitution, and has help get the last three states needed to ratify the ERA. It won the audience award at Michael Moore’s Travers City Film Festival.

Joel is also known as the originator of the fad planking, and can been seen on the show To Tell the Truth, extolling the virtues of this face planting activity.

Joel hails from the Pacific Northwest and holds degrees in Theatre from the University of Washington and a Masters from CalArts. He currently trains with the world-renowned acting teacher Ivana Chubbuck.

Joel likes to keep an open mind to the possibilities and the ever-changing landscape of comedy and acting and find new ways to inject technology directly into people’s funny bones.

Co-creator and co-host of SpanGlish open mic Bromitas, Marco Vazquez is a Mexican born comedian who’s parents migrated to the big apple when he was three-years-old. After watching a comedy show at a local neighborhood bar back in 2015, his then girlfriend encouraged him to give stand-up an opportunity, he then began performing at their weekly open mic and a passion was born.

Marco uses his ability as a professional photographer to incorporate himself more into the comedy scene by taking photos and performing doing two things that he loves the most at the same time. Through this he has been able to meet a ton of comedians who have mentored and guided him along this journey.

Growing up in a Spanish speaking home, Marco was able to conserve his native tongue and has been able to perform standup in English and Spanish. Due to Covid, Comedy was put on halt till he and a bilingual speaking comedian friend decided to start a weekly Spanglish open-mic which has allowed them to connect virtually with performers all over the world.

He has been featured at Broadway Comedy Club, St. Marks Comedy, and numerous locations in New York City.
Host of No Man's Land
Host of Mouth 2 Mouth Crowdwork Mic

Beaming in virtually from New York City, Ralph Anthony is a stand-up, actor, and writer who has performed at some of the East Coast’s most prestigious comedy clubs, including the Comedy Strip, Westside Comedy Club, and Caroline's on Broadway, where he was chosen as a Breakout Artist in 2019.

Ralph found 𝙍𝘼𝙈𝙋𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙇𝙔 by way of our beloved Blue Mic, where his acerbic jokes on marijuana and gun ownership got us scratching out Yeezy's name on our mail-in ballot and replacing it with "RALPH THE MOUTH."

Ralph's credits include air time on ESPN, Amazon TV, Sirius XM, the 2018 NY Comedy Festival, Caroline’s Comedy Madness, Last Comix Standing (not that one, the other one!) and more. Ralphie won't share his cookies with nooo-body, but we'd sure pay ten bucks to watch his live stream from a dark alley in Queens as he describes in rich, gooey detail just how dope they taste.
In West Philadelphia where he was born and raised. So needless to say it was on the playground where he typically spent most of his days. Just chilling out maxin, relaxin, and cooling. Playing some chess at the Library in my school. (He was a nerd). Then I got jumped and moved to the suburbs of Washington...true story.

After 15 years in the classroom, Mr. ShariefO decided to finally go after his dream. On August 24th 2019 he performed at his first show. Originally from India, Ritu is a Nashville based comedian, performing in bars and comedy clubs around the city. Now thanks to COVID, she has Zoomed into shows in and outside the US, straight from her couch.

Ritu loves finding humor in everything, especially the subtle cultural differences between Indian and American culture, specifically dating. Her accomplishments include one failed marriage, with the goal of failing in at least a few more before it’s all said and done.

If life is a story, she believes you better make sure its funny.
Hugh Kelly, who has performed improvisational comedy at places such as the venerated Second City, the well-known Washington Improv Theater, and Laugh Factory Chicago. Mr. Kelly also recently co-authored "How To Write Funnier” with the famous Scott Dikkers, founder and longtime editor of The Onion, the quintessential humor publication. Mr. Kelly has a forthcoming humor essay collection coming out in the fall about navigating life after demented, fucked up ass relationships. Mostly, the book is about his relationship with Popeyes Chicken.

Mr. Kelly is also a talented impressionist who has performed at Eastville Comedy and The Peoples Improv Theatre in NYC. He got into comedy for the pussy, and, if you so consent to, welcomes you hurling your panties up at him on the virtual stage.

Mr. Kelly was born in a suburb of Washington, D.C. He also was born on the exact day that the massively popular television show, Cheers, aired its series finale. Did you know that 80 million people watched the series finale of Cheers? Yeah, 80 million people. So from day one, no one gave a shit about Hugh.

Mr. Kelly also grew up around batshit, crazy white people and the ooey goey comfort food of the 2002 D.C. sniper blowing a man’s head off at a Sunoco gas station one mile from Hugh’s childhood home. Hugh’s psychiatrist believes these three incidents were the seeds that drove him to a life of comedy.

Throughout his 20’s, Hugh has also worked in advertising at various tech companies such as Yelp and other social media giants. People often ask, tell Hugh “oh you’re a comedian? Comedians are so crazy!” And that always makes Hugh chuckle because you haven’t truly metabolized crazy until you’ve heard a tech bro talk about…literally anything.

Hugh would like to thank his family, Paul Mooney, himself, Oprah Winfrey, himself again, 30 Rock, Sativa, himself for a third time, The New York Knicks, Black Women, Silence of the Lambs, himself for a fourth but definitely not final time, the pandemic for unleashing the power of introverts onto the world, and finally, himself.”
