My name is Gabrielle Christian Victoria Douglas. My date of birth is December 31, 1995 I am an African American artist gymnast who has won on the Olympic stage several times in my career.
Reflecting on my journey, it's been a whirlwind of challenges and victories. From my earliest days in the gym, I knew I was destined for something special. There were countless hours of practice, moments of frustration, and times when I questioned if it was all worth it. But through it all, I persisted.
The path to success was far from easy. There were days when I stumbled, both literally and figuratively, but each setback only fueled my determination to push harder. With the unwavering support of my family, coaches, and fans, I found the strength to rise above every obstacle in my way.
Standing on that Olympic podium, the weight of a gold medal around my neck, was a moment I'll never forget. It wasn't just a triumph for me; it was a testament to the power of perseverance and belief in oneself.
Now, as I look back on my journey, I'm grateful for every twist and turn along the way. Each challenge has made me stronger, more resilient, and more grateful for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Now in 2024, I wish to return to try to win once more. I would like to represent the United States in competitive gymnastics and stand on that podium to receive Olympic gold medals.
