Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Did you come up with the idea for porchfests?

No, but isn't it a good one? Today, there are more than 250 documented porchfests around the USA and abroad. The first porchfest of record was held in Albany, NY, in 2007. You can find their website here. I did create porchfests.org before I ever discovered their website! And yes, I am the one behind @porchfests. You can contact me directly at porchfests@gmail.com.

How do I get on Porchfests.org?

If you're a musician, you can participate in a porchfest that is represented here. If you run a porchfest and want me to make a page for your porchfest, you can give me the scoop and donate to my favorite organization to show you care.

How can I get removed from Porchfests.org?

Why would you want to erase our memories like that? I made this website because I am a fan of live entertainment and DIY culture, but very few of the local porchfest websites out there have the kind of wayfinding I need to learn what I want to learn or get where I'm going. So I decided to do-it-myself! This information is meant to help the public. If you sincerely want me to take down some information, why don't you email me

Can I help you?

The best way you can help me is by spreading the word to people who run porchfests that Porchfests.org can help them! And of course, you can use this website and attend these fests! Support and follow these artists and give them your love!
