Hi, I am Marian Anderson. My big day was 26 1925. I won first prize in a singing competition sponsored by the New York Philharmonic.

HI I am Marian. I am form Philadelphia and was always interested in music and began singing at a very young again. I lived with my mother and sister because my father died when I was very young and we was poor.

My dad died when I was young so I live with my mother and sisters my mom was a cleaning woman and try to support our family and i got a job washing steps but I was always into music and began singing at a very young age.

when i was six i was singing at a church and my aunt loved it and i loved it to and i made my debut in paris stag in 1934 it was there that sol hurok first amd backstage afterward to meet me the next day he offered me better the what i had whit the acthur judson a gency and i remained a hurok art is for the rest of my career . and it was 1934 .
